Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Attending
Is I-CERI 2026 online or in person?
Both. I-CERI 2026 is hybrid — physical sessions at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan and online participation via Zoom. The Global Bizwar & Coopfest Challenge runs as a virtual case study competition.
When does it run?
27 – 28 October 2026, from 8.00 AM to 5.30 PM. SPARK 2026 continues past the conference with judging from 1 – 4 November and final pitching on 12 November 2026.
What language is the conference in?
English.
How long is a conference presentation?
Fifteen minutes, whether you present in person at UMK or online via Zoom.
How do I get the Zoom link?
Joining details are issued by the organising committee to registered participants. If you have registered and have not received yours, email iceri.geric@umk.edu.my.
Submitting
What do I submit to the conference?
An extended abstract on the official template — 200–300 words in one paragraph, five keywords, and the ten numbered sections set out in the template. Download it from the Conference page.
What does SPARK 2026 require?
A presentation video of no more than 6 minutes 30 seconds, landscape, uploaded to your own YouTube channel as Unlisted or Public, opening with every team member introducing themselves. An editable A1 poster template is provided too.
What does the Bizwar & Coopfest Challenge require?
An extended abstract and a poster for your chosen track — Teaching Case or Research Case — both on the official templates.
Can I enter more than one of the three?
Yes. Each runs its own registration form and its own fee, so register separately for each one you want to join.
How big can a SPARK team be?
Maximum five participants per group.
Fees and payment
What does it cost?
Fees differ by component and by category — the full tables are on this page. Conference fees are set by the publication route you choose.
Is there an early bird rate?
SPARK 2026 takes 20% off registration fees before 30 September 2026.
How do I pay, and where do I send proof of payment?
For the Bizwar & Coopfest Challenge, proof of payment is submitted together with your final poster and extended abstract by 20 October 2026. For payment account details, email iceri.geric@umk.edu.my.
Awards, certificates and publication
When are winners announced?
The Bizwar & Coopfest winners are announced at the award ceremony on 28 October 2026. SPARK 2026 winners follow its final pitching on 12 November 2026.
Will my paper be published?
Papers go through international peer review, and selected articles are forwarded for publication in Scopus-indexed outlets, subject to editorial decision. Accepted Bizwar extended abstracts are considered for the challenge proceedings and the International Journal of Entrepreneurship Case Study (IJECS), subject to editorial review.
Do participants receive certificates?
SPARK 2026 and the Coopfest awards include e-certificates, and Gold, Silver and Bronze recognition carries certificates. For certificates on the conference track, including for co-authors, email iceri.geric@umk.edu.my.
Can I get an invitation letter for a visa?
Email iceri.geric@umk.edu.my with your registration details and the committee will advise.
